Bicycling and Walking

The City of Burlington works to support walking and bicycling as an viable and environmentally friendly means of transportation. Burlington has been recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists since 2005 and has been recognized as a Walk Friendly Community since 2013.

The City of Burlington Department of Publics Works offers tools to help you get around town by foot or bike, such as a bike parking map, bicycle locker rentals, and ways to receive discounts from businesses by riding your bike.
